The Department of Health and Human Services recently released its Healthy People 2030 Leading Health Indicators. Leading Health Indicators are a small subset of high-priority objectives selected to drive action toward improving health and well-being.
Healthy People 2030 is the fifth iteration of the Department of Health and Human Services Healthy People Initiative and sets 10-year national health promotion and disease prevention objectives. Leading Health Indicators are a subset of measures that speak to Health People 2030’s core objectives and highlight critical public health issues that impact health and well-being at all ages.
