Host: Childhood Obesity Intervention Cost-Effectiveness Study (CHOICES) Project
Timeline: Late June - Mid-July (This is an estimated timeline. Focus groups could be postponed as a result of limited availability related to COVID-19.)
Length: 90 minutes
Format: Virtual (Zoom video or phone call)
Size: 7-12 participants per group
Following participation, the CHOICES team would plan on sharing a summary of key findings with participants. This information might help inform work in the areas of child health and obesity prevention. Focus group participants could include:
- State and local health agency staff and leadership, particularly those working in health promotion, chronic disease prevention, and/or diabetes prevention
- State and local health agency program staff and leadership working in the area of child health or education
- Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) staff and leadership
- Child Care Program licensing or quality improvement program (QRIS) staff and leadership
