New Online Course Available: Chronic Disease Management in the Community Pharmacy

Online course: Chronic Disease Care within the Community Pharmacy: Maximizing Medication Therapy Management

The University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in partnership with CDPHE, is offering a no-cost Continuing Professional Education through its online platform entitled Chronic Disease Care within the Community Pharmacy: Maximizing Medication Therapy Management. 

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
  • Describe the current reimbursement issues within community pharmacy.
  • Summarize programs aiming to transform community pharmacy.
  • Explain the benefits and limits of medication therapy management.
  • Utilize medication therapy management to improve the management of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and dyslipidemia.
  • Describe the benefit of various tools including the Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process and electronic-care plans for chronic disease management.
To access this course follow these steps:
  1. Log in to iPharmCE here. Note: If you don't have a profile on ipharmCE, create one by entering your email and following the on-screen instructions.
  2. Under Home Study Activities, select View All Programs.
  3. Select the group CDPHE 2019/2020.
  4. Select the presentation title (above).
  5. Select Content and Assessment Questions to begin.
