Since the National Diabetes Statistics Report, 2017, the overall percentage of people living with diabetes and prediabetes (prevalence) has remained stable. Incidence rates growing in youth under the age of 20 and remain high for certain racial/ethnic groups including non-Hispanic blacks and people of Hispanic origin, and American Indians/Alaska Natives.
