Upcoming Strategic Planning Funding Opportunity for CDPHE Tobacco and Chronic Disease

The CDPHE Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention (HPCDP) Branch will release a Request for Proposals (RFP) in July/August for a strategic planner to help with the development of the new chronic disease and tobacco strategic plans (2021-2030). These plans are used by state and local public health partners to set the direction for programmatic and policy efforts. The plans are also used by the Amendment 35-funded Cancer, Cardiovascular and Chronic Pulmonary Disease (CCPD) and Tobacco Education Prevention and Cessation (Tobacco) Grant Programs to determine funding priorities for future grant cycles.

The HPCDP Branch is seeking skilled and innovative strategic planners with expertise in chronic disease, tobacco, community and stakeholder engagement, health equity, facilitation, project management, and plan development. Anticipated time frame for the strategic planning efforts is from October 2019 through January 31, 2021.
