Our Hearts Webinar, January 16 at 1 pm MST

Heart Month Webinar

American Heart Month is almost here, and this February the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s (NHLBI) The Heart Truth® program invites you to join us in encouraging people across the country to reduce their risk for heart disease. A healthy lifestyle that includes regular physical activity, smart eating, maintaining a good weight, and not smoking, can substantially lower your risk of heart disease and stroke.

This year’s theme — “Our hearts are healthier together”— encourages Americans to join with others to make lifestyle changes that are heart-healthy and long-lasting. Research has shown that having strong social support can make it easier to stay motivated and reach fitness and nutrition goals.

Want to learn more? Join the Our Hearts Webinar on January 16th at 3 p.m. ET to learn how you and your organization can promote heart healthy behaviors among those you serve, your community, colleagues, friends and family. During the webinar you’ll preview:

New educational resources available

The Heart Truth® program’s new Our Hearts interactive map where you can share heart health events and social media activities, and see other events and activities around the country

#OurHearts themed weeks ideas to help you plan your Heart Month social media and community activities.

Register for the webinar here. Forward the invitation to others who may be interested in this information.

We look forward to promoting heart health --- together!
