Health department releases pregnancy-related depression toolkit

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has created a toolkit in English and Spanish for raising awareness of pregnancy-related depression (PRD) and anxiety during the week of Dia de las Madres (Mexico) and Mother’s Day (U.S.). The content in this resource is intended for partners looking to help spread messages about PRD in English and Spanish - healthcare providers, non-profits, community organizations, etc. This resource is part of our overall statewide pregnancy-related depression and anxiety campaign efforts found at postpartum.net/colorado and postpartum.net/ayuda. We hope you find it useful and thank you for helping to increase awareness about PRD among pregnant women, new moms, and their support systems!

OBSERVANCES

Dia de las Madres (Mexico): Thu 5/10

Mother’s Day (U.S.): Sun 5/13

STATE CAMPAIGN EFFORTS

The PRD campaign consists of a variety of paid, earned and owned media efforts. During the month of May, we are running a statewide, robust paid media campaign (see the full list of paid media tactics). Specific to the week of Dia de las Madres and Mother’s Day, the campaign will also highlight campaign spokespersons on a Facebook Live event on Univision Colorado’s Noticias Ya (5/10), as well as native blog posts on Noticias Ya (5/7), Telemundo (5/8) and Denver Metro Mom’s Blog (5/10). These posts will be shared on CDPHE’s social media channels.
