and Your Brain Will Benefit Later

Having a heart healthy lifestyle helps boost brain function later in life. The study looked at cardiovascular health across the lifespan and how it is related to brain structure changes in individuals as they proceed through middle adulthood and into late adulthood. The report focused on the American Heart Association's Life's Simple 7, which is a list of key health factors that keep the heart healthy. The Simple 7 includes keeping cholesterol in check, controlling blood pressure, reducing blood sugar, eating healthy, losing weight, stopping smoking and being active.
