Obesity network discusses Cooking Matters program

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Office of Planning and Partnerships will be hosting the next Obesity Networking Opportunity for those agencies focusing on Obesity Prevention work July 19.

Obesity Networking: Cooking Matters

Jennifer Dellaport, Early Childhood Obesity Prevention Program Manager will be facilitating this call. Participants will:
  • Understand at least three Cooking Matters programs offered: Cooking Matters for Parents (CMP), Cooking Matters for Child Care Professionals (CMCCP), Cooking Matters at the Store (CMATS).
  • Be able to cite a few outcomes of participation in a CM course.
  • Learn if they have CM already in their community and if not how to bring CM to their community (e.g., what resources they need, what the models are, where to get more information.)
  • Garfield County (Satellite partner) and Jefferson County Public Health (Train the Trainer partner) share how they use Cooking Matters in their communities.
