AAP: No fruit juice for babies under 1

In May, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) updated their current recommendations regarding offering fruit juice to infants, children and adolescents. Because fruit juice is high in sugar, frequent consumption could result in cavities and excess weight gain. The AAP states, "it is optimal to completely avoid the use of juice in infants before 1 year of age." The full recommendations can be found here.
