Public health funding opportunities

School Health Professional

Education Providers (on behalf of secondary schools that include any of grades 7-12) are eligible to apply for this opportunity in order to enhance the presence of school health professionals (School Nurses, School Social Workers, School Counselors and School Psychologists) in their secondary schools.

An eligible Education Provider is a school district; Board of Cooperative Services (BOCES); charter school authorized by a school district; or a charter school authorized by the Charter School Institute.

Primary Care 

This grant opportunity provides a funding  allocation to health care providers that make basic health care services available in an outpatient setting to residents of Colorado who are considered medically indigent. Go to the Primary Care Fund Information for Providers page for more details.


Primary and Behavioral Health Care Integration


SAMHSA is accepting applications for Promoting Integration of Primary and Behavioral Health Care grants totaling up to $110 million over 5 years. This program aims to promote full integration and collaboration in clinical practice between primary and behavioral health care. The grants will also help promote services related to screening, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental and substance use disorders as well as related physical conditions and chronic diseases.
