Sleep and Screen Time Recommendations Updated

In October 2016, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) updated their recommendations for a Safe Infant Sleeping Environment. The AAP recommends breastfeeding exclusively for six months, however, any amount of breastfeeding has been shown to be protective against SIDS.
AAP also published a Media and Young Minds policy statement with updated screen time recommendations:  
2013 Recommendations2016 Recommendations
<2 years old: discourage screen media exposure<18 months old: discourage screen media except live video-chatting
18-24 months old: adults should use high-quality programming/apps with child
2-5 years old: limit entertainment screen time to less than one or two hours per day2-5 years old: limit screen media to one hour or less per day
Screens should be kept out of bedroomsKeep bedrooms, mealtimes and parent-child play times screen free
