Pepsi Center unveils new portable breastfeeding room

Join Kroenke Sports & Entertainment and partner UCHealth are unveiling the new Mamava lactation suite on the 100 level concourse at Pepsi Center. Recognizing the need to support nursing moms visiting the venue and its employees, Pepsi Center collaborated with UCHealth to bring the Mamava suite to fruition and provide a clean and comfortable space to pump or nurse.

The arena is the first venue in the state of Colorado, the 13th arena nationwide and the first National Hockey League (NHL) venue to roll out such an initiative.

One of the busiest venues in Colorado, Pepsi Center hosts more than 200 sporting, family and concert events annually. Mamava, a woman-owned company based in Burlington, Vt., designs solutions for nursing moms on the go. The lactation suite is a self-contained, mobile pod, with comfortable benches, a fold-down table, an electrical outlet for plugging in a breast pump, and a door that can be locked for privacy.

Colorado law states that a woman has the right to breastfeed anywhere she has a right to be. Workplace lactation laws in Colorado support mothers who pump and breastfeed. For more information, go to Now it’s the Law and Breastfeeding in the workplace | Department of Public Health and Environment
