Colorado Education Initiative shares 2015-16 school health and wellness assessment summary

The Colorado Education Initiative Health and Wellness team just released the 2015-16 Smart Source Executive Summary which highlights key findings about school health from 451 Colorado schools. #CoHealthySchools

Learn more about getting your school involved in Smart Source that helps educators:
• Identify general gaps in school health.
• Inform decisions regarding resource allocation.
• Make the case for policy change.
• Garner support for school health programs.
• Evaluate the reach and impact of policies and practices.
Schools that have completed Smart Source this year or last year are eligible to apply for the Healthy School Champions Recognition Program. More than 40 Schools received awards last year and the winning school, Lake County Intermediate School, received the 2016 Governor's Award for School Health and Wellness
Applications for the 2017 Healthy School Champions Recognition awards must be received by January 20, 2017.
Awards will be presented on March 3, 2017 at the Colorado Coalition for Healthy Schools Breakfast.
