State health department job opening: Oncology Systems Consultant

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has an opening for an Oncology Systems Consultant. The purpose of this position is to improve outcomes for cancer patients, survivors, and their relatives by engaging with oncology centers (hospitals, cancer centers), and oncology-related specialty and primary care systems and professionals to implement health systems change, including but not limited to workflow redesign, referral pathways, health information sharing among primary and oncology providers and other team-based care approaches. This position will provide clinical, educational, and health system expertise, and guide the implementation of evidence-based strategies and best practices in collaboration with state and local oncology-related health systems and professionals (administrators, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, genetic counselors and other allied health professionals) to reduce cancer burden.
