Million Hearts® in Colorado

Denver Health's Dr. Ray Estacio speaks at
Million Hearts  community of practice social
Four times a year the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, in partnership with the American Heart Association, Telligen , the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing, and clinical, public health and community leaders engaged in progressive cardiovascular health efforts gather for the Million Hearts® community of practice social. The Million Hearts® CoP socials began in 2014 as an alternative to the typical daytime meetings in conference rooms. These quarterly events take place in different metro Denver locations and feature speakers engaged in cardiovascular health related initiatives. The CoP socials were designed to be more informal in nature and provide a fun way to network with other cardiovascular health professionals out in the community and learn about current state and national CVD related projects as a means of strategically aligning with the Million Hearts® national aim to prevent one million heart attacks and strokes by 2017. If you are or would like to be a community partner in the Million Hearts® initiative, we know improving the cardiovascular health of all Coloradans is important to you, and you are warmly invited!
