CCDC offers basic advocacy training

The Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition is now accepting enrollments in its upcoming session of Basic Advocacy Training held at the University of Denver starting on May 17. Three times a year, we offer this 8-week course that covers disability benefits, health care and advocacy training. This training is a great education for community activists or for those looking for additional skills necessary to work in the field of disability services, advocacy, community organizing, the legislative process, or civil rights law.

Continuing Education Credits are available. It is free to CCDC volunteer members committed to the CCDC Volunteer Advocacy Team. Other community members pay $500 for the course. The classes will be held at the University of Denver from May 17 – July 12 (this last date is graduation). To register for the class and CEU’s, please contact Sheryle Hutter. To learn more about the course, visit the CCDC website.
