What's Your One Brave Idea?

Over the years, many great ideas have contributed to the research and treatment of coronary heart disease and its causative risk factors and consequences.

Submit your Colorado-grown ideas today to One Brave Idea. They're looking for the bravest idea of all to end coronary heart disease, a leading cause of death in the world.

The first goal of One Brave Idea is to find a visionary leader with a brave idea who can lead us to the end of coronary heart disease. This leader will not only have a bold vision, but will possess the ability to assemble an interdisciplinary team of experts to bring this research vision to life.

The selected leader and team will embark on a well-funded journey over the next 5+ years to address coronary heart disease with an inclusive focus on causative factors and consequences, cardiovascular risk factors, and restoration of cardiovascular health. In addition to the $75 million, over at least five years, the team will receive guidance, mentorship and substantial resources from the Joint Leadership Group with membership from the American Heart Association, Verily and AstraZeneca.

The One Brave Idea Joint Leadership Group will review all submissions received by the deadline: February 14, 2016 by 11:59 PM CST, (10:59 Mountain time). The review process will include face to face interviews and some additional information requests to a select number of submitters. The leader is expected to be announced in the Summer 2016.
