Healthy living funding available

The Colorado Health Foundation announces the opening of a new funding opportunity in the Healthy Living outcome area. In Healthy Living, the focus is on ensuring that every kid in Colorado has the opportunity to eat healthy and engage in physical activity.
As part of the Colorado Health Foundation's focus on ensuring that communities have activated, quality indoor and outdoor infrastructure that encourages kids to be physically active, this funding opportunity will support locally-defined, place-specific efforts to get people outdoors and actively engaged in their neighborhoods - together. The goal of the funding opportunity is to help activate existing infrastructure in public places that contributes to a community's overall health through residential usage and positive experiences. Foundation grant funds will support costs associated with project/program planning and/or implementation for up to one year. To be considered for funding, applicants must meet specific criteria.

Outcome Area: Healthy Living
Strategy: Create healthy communities where it is easy to access affordable, healthy food and safe, affordable options for physical activity for kids.
Funding Opportunity: Activating Places and Spaces Together
Open Deadlines: All deadlines between Feb. 15, 2016 and Oct. 15, 2018.

Register now for the Activating Places and Spaces Together informational webinar Jan. 5 from 10 -11 a.m.
