Join the Human Services Network and the Colorado Center on Law and Policy for a Session on Advocacy

Health outcomes including chronic diseases have roots in social determinants of health like housing, poverty, education and discrimination. How can providers of health services and partners engage in advocacy upstream to ensure that downstream health effects improve?

The Human Services Network and the Colorado Center on Law and Policy, are pleased to announce an inspirational, pre-session advocacy event—an exciting day of problem solving and information sharing on December 7, 2015.

Come for the day and you will leave with a new lens: inspired to advocate for policies that will help you more effectively deliver services and armed with ideas for engaging your program participants in new, powerful ways to advocate for themselves.

Hear keynote speaker, Senator Morgan Carroll (Senate District 29), elected to serve as the Senate Minority Leader in 2015 and previous President of the Colorado Senate, Senate Majority Leader and Caucus Chair.

Session topics include:
  • Effective Advocacy
  • Strength-Based Advocacy
  • Person-Centered Advcacy
  • Getting Out the Vote the Nonprofit Way
