CDC launches new health tracking tools

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention National Environmental Public Health Tracking Network just launched an improved Info by Location tool and the ability to view multiple query results at the same time.

The Info by Location tool is an infographic-style tool that allows you to enter your zip code or county name and view environmental health data and information specific to your county, such as demographics, air quality, and asthma prevalence. With CDC’s new update, you can now customize your results by selecting your specific areas of interest. Also, in order to provide a more complete picture of environmental health in your area, CDC has added additional data and information to the tool, including:

· Access to Parks

· Extreme Heat

· Heart Attacks

· Proximity to Highways

CDC has also added an advanced multiple measures option to the Tracking Network. This new functionality provides the ability to view up to 12 different query results at the same time. The data can be viewed on maps or charts.

Visit the Tracking Network today to explore the Info by Location tool and the new advanced query options.
