American Planning Association releases physical activity/health food RFP

The American Planning Association published a request for proposals for projects to increase physical activity and/or access to healthy food. This RFP outlines the requirements for APA Chapters and APHA Affiliates to develop collaborative projects. Funds will be competitively awarded to build local capacity in communities across the U.S. Grants are about $150,000 and projects are expected to last about 18 months.
Through a collaborative strategy that brings together members of the American Planning Association (APA) and the American Public Health Association (APHA), the Plan4Health project aims to build local capacity to address population health goals and promote the inclusion of health in non-traditional sectors. Coalitions made up of APA chapters, APHA affiliate groups, and others will work to set a new paradigm for healthy planning.
