New Colorado law allows mothers to postpone jury service while breastfeeding

On April 8, Gov. John Hickenlooper signed legislation allowing two 12-month postponements of jury duty service for women who are breastfeeding.

The Colorado Breastfeeding Coalition proposed the legislation.
Working closely with statewide community partners, local breastfeeding coalitions, CDPHE and the Colorado WIC program, the Colorado Breastfeeding Coalition is a volunteer organization that leads the way for Colorado children to obtain optimal health and development by fostering a society-wide approach to promoting, protecting and supporting breastfeeding.
