A prescription for prevention

Preventable chronic diseases now affect half the U.S. adult population and account for the bulk of U.S. health care costs. Prevention strategies focused on risk factors for these diseases are critical to improving health and reducing health care costs. To tackle this challenge, the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) convened the Prevention Task Force to develop a framework and recommendations for integrating prevention into the nation’s approach to health and health care.
The BPC will host a release and discussion of the task force’s white paper, A Prevention Prescription for Improving Health and Health Care in America, in Washington, D.C. Bringing together experts from across the health, public health and budget sectors, the task force examined the opportunities to boost investment in prevention within the rapidly changing health care delivery system landscape.
WHEN: Thursday, May 28th 2015 01:00 p.m. to 02:30 p.m.
WHERE: Bipartisan Policy Center, 1225 Eye Street NW, Suite 1000, Washington, DC, 20005
