UCD accepting applications for 2015 community immersion training

The University of Colorado Denver is now accepting applications for the 2015 Colorado Immersion Training in Community Engagement (CIT).

Training Highlights:
• Learn core principles of community-based participatory research
• Develop skills to engage community partners in research.
• Spend time in a local Colorado community to learn first-hand about the community and begin relationship-building.

Program Dates:
• Brief orientation session: during the week of April 20 – 24
• Self-directed reading and online discussions: April 20 – May 22
• Full immersion week in community: June 1-5

2015 Tracks:
• Urban Latino
• Rural San Luis Valley

CIT is for researchers from all disciplines seeking new skills and knowledge in community engaged translational research. Junior faculty, early career researchers and doctoral students are encouraged to apply.
