National Wear Red Day to raise awareness of heart disease

February is Heart Month
Celebrate with us and help to create critical awareness for women and heart disease by participating in one of one or more of these fun and informative community heart month events!

National Wear Red Day - Friday, February 6, 2015

Help us to make ending heart disease a reality. National Wear Red Day gives women and men everywhere a way to show their dedication and support of the cause, and empowers them to take action for their health. Heart disease is still the No. 1 killer of Americans, taking the life of one in three each year. This means both women and men are dying at the rate of one every 90 seconds.
The American Heart Association is asking all Coloradoans to Speak Red, Wear Red, and Go Red for Women on National Wear Red Day.
Getting involved
Show your support on National Wear Red Day by wearing red and encouraging your friends, family, and workplace, school or location organization to Go Red. Women can learn more about their personal risk of heart disease, get involved with local events and register for a free red dress pin at GoRedForWomen.org/WearRedDay or contact the local American Heart Association office at 303-801-4644 or via email atsara.martin@heart.org
