Million Hearts in Colorado: February Events

February is Heart Month! Celebrate and help create critical awareness for women and heart disease by participating in one or more of these fun and informative community heart month events!

Friday, February 6, 2015: Celebrity Chef Cook-off with Nikki Shaw 

This event is part of a month-long partnership between Cherry Creek North and the American Heart Association that brings a month-long celebration of heart healthy Friday activities. Wear your favorite RED outfit and help kickoff American Heart Month and our I Heart Friday’s campaign with Cherry Creek North on National Wear Red Day at Beacon’s Community Space (2630 E. Third Ave, Denver, CO) from 4pm to 6pm. Chef Nikki Shaw (wife of Denver Nuggets Coach, Brian Shaw) will be “facing off” with the Executive Chef from Big Daddy Burgers, Tim Kast. They will each be creating their very own and very best heart-healthy burger. This is a free event! February 7, 2015: Go Red & Girls Night Out at Park Meadows Retail Resort, 4-6 pm, FREE!

Join the American Heart Association in the fight against heart disease with Go Red For Women and Girls Night Out. Receive important information and tips on keeping your heart healthy, craft stations, music, prize drawings, and swag bags for the first 150 guests. Preview the latest Go Red fashions from Macy's and share why you “Go Red” with our glam cam photos. Also, if you're a heart or stroke survivor and are are interested in helping us create more awareness by sharing your story with the community, we are looking for new Go Red For Women ambassadors in Denver!
