Colorado Healthy Hospital Compact launches Friday


The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and statewide partners in hospitals and public health agencies will launch the Colorado Healthy Hospital Compact Friday at Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora. Partner hospitals in this first-of-its-kind compact agree to promote healthy food and beverage options in their cafeterias, vending machines and patient menus and support new moms in breastfeeding their babies.


Dr. Larry Wolk, state health department executive director and chief medical officer, will recognize founding partners and partner hospitals. A webinar to introduce the Compact and answer questions will follow.
