Colorado QuitLine celebrates 300,000 callers

The Colorado QuitLine recently celebrated a major milestone with its 300,000th call. Since 2002, QuitLine has helped thousands of Coloradans quit tobacco for good through a proven combination of personal quit plans, nicotine replacement therapy and professional coaching. In the past 12 years, QuitLine has distributed more than 140,000 free nicotine replacement therapy kits containing patches, gum and/or lozenges.

“We’re proud of the impact QuitLine has made over the past 12 years, helping tens of thousands of Coloradans quit tobacco,” said Emma Goforth, tobacco cessation coordinator for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. “To support Gov. Hickenlooper’s goal of making Colorado the healthiest state in the nation, we all need to continue our work to end tobacco addiction in Colorado.”
