Your Community, Your Voice: Conversations about Maternal and Child Health

Every five years the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Program is required to conduct a statewide needs assessment of the health and well-being of Colorado’s women, children, youth including children and youth with special health care needs and their families. The purpose of the assessment is to identify seven to ten specific priorities that public health can impact during the next five years. The selected priorities will drive state and local MCH work from 2016-2020. Your input and perspective from these conversations will inform the selection of MCH priorities.

The MCH Program will hold these regional meetings in partnership with the HCP-Program for Children and Youth with Special Healthcare Needs. Your ideas will also help shape and inform the strategies for the HCP Program.

The morning session, including lunch, will focus on the MCH needs assessment, while the afternoon session will focus on the HCP-Program for Children and Youth with Special Healthcare Needs. You may attend the meeting for the entire day or choose morning or afternoon.

Local public health agencies, community partners, community members, and family and youth leaders are welcome to attend.
