Colorado Oral Health Team Trains Alaska on Cavity Free at Three

At the request of Tanana Valley Clinic, Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and the American Academy of Pediatrics, Anne Gibbs, Cavity Free at Three Lead, and three members of the CF3 technical assistance team, Drs. Jack Westfall, Patty Braun, and Dennis Lewis, trained medical and dental providers in Fairbanks Alaska on Cavity Free at Three. Fifteen of the Alaskan providers completed the extensive CF3 Master Trainer program and are now certified to expand the training in their community. Severe dental disease runs rampant in Alaska where Alaska Native children experience decay rates of 70-100%. Anne Gibbs from OHU helped facilitate the training and supplied materials. OHU is pleased to share their expertise with Alaska.
