Mini-grants for school districts to address comprehensive sex education

Colorado Youth Matter's Working to Institutionalize Sex Education (WISE) Initiative presents the WISE Partnership Incentive Grant Program

Colorado Youth Matter's WISE Initiative is offering $3,000-$5,000 incentive 'mini-grants' to 2-3 Colorado school districts who want to improve implementation of comprehensive sex education that meets Colorado's academic standards, follows best practice, and engages students.
Schools and school districts are invited to apply for the partnership grants which, along with the incentive funds, include up to 100 hours of Technical Assistance from Colorado Youth Matter to support 
  • Capacity assessment and planning, including goal setting and logic model creation
  • Selection of an effective, appropriate evidence based or exemplary comprehensive sex education program
  • Training and capacity building for teachers and facilitators
  • Review of policies and procedures that support the implementation of comprehensive sex education
  • Evaluation of the program to determine if goals were met
  • Long term planning to institutionalize quality comprehensive sex education within the school or district
Applications for the WISE Partnership Incentive Fund are due January 15th, 2013 by 5pm MST.
