State health department recruiting graduate students for obesity initiative interships

The Prevention Services Department of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is pleased to announce an internship opportunity for students in pursuit of or graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field, preferably public health, communications, marketing, public policy, or health promotion.
Interns will participate in CDPHE obesity initiatives and be involved in health eating and active living efforts for adults and children. They will assist in development and implementation of plans and models for programs and services, research, synthesizing and summarizing information, developing graphic reports and presentations, along with, other various projects. The obesity team’s goal is to provide each intern with experience working in the public health sector while meeting the needs of the intern and the department’s current objectives.

The CDPHE obesity initiative internship is a non-paid internship that will run on three semesters, spring, summer, and fall. We offer both full time and part time positions, requiring a commitment of at least 120 hours.
