New Opportunity: Message from Chris Lindley

For those who know me on a personal level you know I love life and am perpetually optimistic. I also go through life taking risks as I look for opportunities for improvement and advancement, both personally and professionally. I’m a firm believer that nothing is achieved or gained by sitting on the sidelines. In this light I have decided that the time is right for me to take on a new challenge and to focus all of my energy and passion on my personal health and wellness businesses and interests and to spend more time with my family. This means that I will be leaving CDPHE. While this is my next step, I can assure you it is not my last and I will remain a energetic and dedicated partner, friend and colleague to all of you.

For the past 11 years I have loved working with all the partners and leaders across Colorado’s public health system. The last two years working for Joni Reynolds leading the Prevention Services Division have been extraordinary on many levels, and a experience for which I will be forever grateful. I want to publicly thank her for her support, mentorship and friendship over the years and, hopefully, well into the future.

As a single team, all of you in PSD have been open, willing and able to embrace a new culture and a level of transparency seldom seen in government. You have established best practices, pushed and explored new fields and business processes at a pace I don’t think ever seen in government. I have enjoyed trying to keep up with all of you on this great adventure and the risk taking it involved!

I will be in the office over the next two weeks saying my goodbyes and handing over my responsibilities to Karen Trierweiler. The division is in GREAT hands with Karen.

I look forward to working side by side with many of you in my next phase of public health service. Let us all work tirelessly and without fear in ensuring Colorado remains the healthiest place to live, work and play!

Thanks to you all.

Chris Lindley
