Which occupational group has one of the highest rate hypertension and one of the lowest rates of awareness, treatment and control?
A new study assessing hypertension among US workers found that about one in five workers had hypertension and only 65% of workers getting treatment had their hypertension under control, even though 80% of the workers had health insurance. The authors suggest the need for worksite hypertension programs.
