Univision Report on 2030 Obesity Trends

Univision reported on F as in Fat: How Obesity Threatens America's Future 2012, a recent report released by the Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The report paints a grim future for Colorado and the country, with millions of new cases of chronic disease and billions in health care spending as a result of the obesity epidemic spiraling out of control. Colorado would remain one of the leanest states, but that's little consolation for the 44.8 percent of Coloradans predicted to be obese by 2030. But obesity is preventable and this bleak future is avoidable, says Eric Aakko of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, if Coloradans just take a few small steps to move more and eat healthier.
