City and County of Broomfield is Hiring a Public Health Nurse

The City and County of Broomfield is hiring a Public Health Nurse.  The position announcement is available online and the deadline for applications is 9/24.

The Public Health Nurse is responsible for the day to day operations and implementation of the Immunization Clinic and the International Travel Clinic.  Duties include client health assessment and development of treatment plans, including consultative services for travel vaccines and malaria education.  Responsible for continuous development of the programs and proper documentation of client health history and knowledge of Traveler Health and safety.  Participate in immunization outreach events, assists with walk in services for the reproductive health clinic as necessary, and performs applicable laboratory work when needed.

This position also works on goals related to the Maternal Child Health (MCH) priorities.  May assist in creating and implementing additional public health programs as needed. Attends meetings, workshops, and conventions as necessary for the maintenance of effective services.

Collaborates and develops professional contacts with other Health and Human Services divisions, county agencies, community agencies, non-profit organizations, and vendors to effectively serve the needs of the citizens.  Follows policies, procedures, and standards for efficient and effective operation and maintenance of equipment.  Operates a motor vehicle and personal computer with applicable software.   Maintains confidentiality of information consistent with applicable federal, state and county rules and regulations.   Performs related duties as required.
