CDPHE Job Announcement - Injury and Violence Prevention Policy and Communications Coordinator

The Injury, Suicide, and Violence Prevention work unit with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is hiring an Injury and Violence Prevention Policy and Communications Coordinator. The purpose of this position is to provide leadership in reducing injuries and deaths in the general population with a focus on communicating and disseminating information related to injury and/or violence prevention to the community, other professionals, key policy makers and leaders through diverse communication networks. This position stimulates change related to injury and violence prevention through informing or developing policy initiatives that are data driven and based on research.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:
  • multidisciplinary committee facilitation and technical assistance; 
  • implementation of programmatic work plans; 
  • policy analysis; 
  • communication and information dissemination; and
  • web site content development and management.
