Back-to-School Dental Health Ad Campaign Launches in Colorado and Nationwide

The Partnership for Healthy Mouths, Healthy Lives, a coalition of 35 leading dental health organizations and the Ad Council, is set to release Kids' Healthy Mouths, a new ad campaign airing soon in Colorado and other major media markets. The campaign encourages parents to encourage their kids to brush their teeth for at least two minutes with videos that humorously portray time-wasting two-minute activities.

According to a survey released by the Ad Council, less than half (44%) of parents in the U.S. report that their child brushes their teeth twice a day or more. This new multimedia campaign is designed to teach parents and caregivers, as well as children, about the importance of oral health and the simple ways in which they can help prevent oral disease. The English and Spanish-language public service ads were distributed to media outlets Aug.14.
