Statewide Outreach Organizer and Regional Ambassadors for Beforeplay.org

Beforeplay.org is the hub of a statewide effort in Colorado to reduce unintended pregnancies and make progress towards “normalizing the conversation” around topics of sexual health and well-being. Lead by a private/public partnership with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Beforeplay.org encourages people in the state of Colorado to think about, talk about and make healthy, informed decisions about topics such as birth control, pregnancy planning, STIs and overall sexual health. The campaign primarily speaks to people ages 18 to 29 and actively engages their families, friends, peers, partners and health care providers.

Using authentic, candid-style imagery and straight-forward language, Beforeplay.org takes a positive approach to sexual health; recommending risk-reduction strategies and choices that enable individual to lead happier, healthier and more productive lives. Beforeplay.org is seeking a part-time Outreach Organizer to assist the Outreach Coordinator to encourage young adults to engage and interact with the camping including using social media tools, helping to identify, plan and organize outreach activities throughout Colorado, and establishing contacts and relationships with health centers, community groups, community colleges and universities.

The campaign is also seeking several Regional Ambassadors to support and promote campaign efforts in these general regions: Denver/Boulder metro area, Northern Colorado (Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland, Estes Park), Northwest (Steamboat Springs, Craig, Grand Junction), Southeast (Limon, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Canon City), and Southwest (Alamosa, Durango, Cortex, Montrose, Gunnison).
