To the Motor Vehicle
Safety Winnable Battle Academy
July 18 - July
19th in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Your community
has achieved great things. You’ve been doing great work. Engaging residents and
building a vibrant, happy, injury free place to live. But what are you doing to
ensure that all of your hard work doesn’t go to waste?
For lots of
reasons – funding, leadership – communities let up when it comes to stewarding
long-term success. This academy will provide ideas, tools and impactful actions
that can be used to work with any community to ensure long-term sustainability
for motor vehicle safety initiatives.
About the Academy
The Motor Vehicle
Safety Winnable Battle Academy is a 1 1/2 day, intensive workshop for community
teams and individuals who want to enhance their leadership in the community by
advocating for motor vehicle safety. The academy provides a fun, engaging,
team-focused atmosphere to learn and practice skills to advance your
initiative.
This academy
provides the opportunity to unite your community team with a sense of purpose
and will provide an array of resources, support and potential funding to meet
your goals that achieve positive, measurable outcomes in your community.
Following the
academy, selected participants will be invited to apply for funding to support
the implementation of motor vehicle safety initiatives. Those selected for the
funding will also receive ongoing technical assistance, a Colorado motor
vehicle safety mentor, monthly training, access to a statewide and national
network of motor vehicle safety experts. See the flyer.
The Motor Vehicle
Safety Winnable Battle Academy is made possible for the people of Colorado by
the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment with funding provided
through the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
