The website is scheduled to go live on July 17 and is a public/private/non-profit partnership of the Office of Suicide Prevention, Cactus Marketing Communication, and the Carson J Spencer Foundation, and is designed specifically to promote mental wellness and suicide prevention among men of working age.
The innovative site uses humor and direct language to empower men to take ownership of their overall wellness, and is designed to help break down some of the stigma that keeps men from accessing professional services when battling emotional issues. Last night’s event at Casselmans was attended by more than 150 men that included a sneak peak of the website and a 30-second PSA, remarks by Dr. Urbina, Governor Hickenlooper, Governor Ritter, the Office of Suicide Prevention, Cactus Marketing, and the Carson J Spencer Foundation.
