This one-year grant project will fund communities throughout
Colorado to implement suicide prevention and intervention strategies
targeting working age men in their communities.
Each year in Colorado, men ages
25 to 54 account for the highest number of suicide deaths, and in 2010 working
age men had the highest suicide rate of any other age group. This one-year
project will support the training of men and community members in suicide
prevention and intervention strategies, and will disseminate an education and
awareness campaign that specifically targets men community-wide.
Applications are due to the Office of Suicide Prevention no later than 3pm on April 27.
