Dartmouth College, in collaboration with the American College
of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, have released an updated interactive web-based program entitled,
“Smoking Cessation for Pregnancy and Beyond: A Virtual Clinic.” The
online program provides evidence-based training, through use of interactive
patient simulations, to apply best practice approaches for helping pregnant
women quit smoking.
Those who may benefit from the training are physicians,
physician assistants, nurse-midwives, registered nurses, licensed
practical/vocational nurses, nurse practitioners, certified health educators,
other health educators, pharmacists, health professional students and other
health professionals that may interact with women of reproductive age.
