Improving the Oral Health of Colorado’s Children

The oral health of Colorado’s children has not improved significantly in the past decade. Nearly 60% of low-income kindergartners in Colorado have suffered from tooth decay.

The Colorado Trust, Caring for Colorado Foundation and the Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation have released an issue brief entitled, "Improving the Oral Health of Colorado’s Children".  The brief, prepared by the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, provides a look at:

- oral health data for Colorado’s children
- state responses to children’s oral health needs
- best practices and next steps

Click here to read the full brief and visit Colorado's 10 Winnable Battles website for more information on efforts to improve oral health across Colorado.
