Colorado Health Foundation's Quarterly Journal - Health Elevations

If you are not already signed up to the Colorado Health Foundation's Quarterly Journal, called "Health Elevations", you should be.  The journal provides a wealth of resources from across the prevention spectrum.  This summer's journal is packed with information on built environments, including articles on Building Better Health, a fun Built Environment Puzzle, and a focus on the unique challenges of built environments in rural Colorado in the article on "Rural Routes to Better Health."

The journal is available in a clean, intuitive online format, via pdf or via email subscription.

One of the interesting features of the online format is the multi-media "What's Working" section.  In addition to the text articles about Colorado-based projects, the Colorado Health Foundation also posts short interviews with grantees and project participants that help show the projects in a way text cannot.  An example video article is posted below of a Trust for Public Land effort in cooperation with Denver Urban Gardens and Denver Parks and Recreation to expand a community garden and build a soccer field/playground in East Denver.
